About Aniruddha

Engineering across scales.

From plant operations and manufacturing quality to molecular systems and public infrastructure.

I am a mechanical engineer based in Ruston, Louisiana, currently serving as Engineer Intern 2 at the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. My work connects industrial operations, manufacturing quality, and sustainable materials research.

I earned a Ph.D. in Micro and Nanoscale Systems at Louisiana Tech University, with a dissertation on sustainable polymer-asphalt blends. My research includes molecular dynamics of polymer-asphalt and bio-rejuvenator systems, asphaltene aggregation, frontal polymerization of geopolymer concrete, and okra mucilage bio-coagulants for microplastic removal.

Before my doctoral research, I worked as a Process Engineer at a hydrogen peroxide plant from 2018 to 2020. My industrial experience includes DCS monitoring and optimization of VDU/SRU units, Aspen Plus material and energy balances, and supervision of more than 25 operators. A distillation improvement that raised Cpk from approximately 1.14 to 1.4 earned a Kaizen Award.

My earlier automotive and transit manufacturing quality work included HVAC sub-assembly validation, compression-molded FRP inspection, and AutoCAD and SolidWorks modeling. I passed the PE Mechanical: HVAC and Refrigeration exam in July 2026 and am completing the licensure process. I also serve as a peer reviewer for the TRB Annual Meeting and Transportation Research Record.
